This app is part of the new features in the Dynatrace OneAgent Foundation & Discovery Mode, and its goal is to optimize monitoring and security capabilities, especially in heterogeneous IT environments.

With this new app, Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) can be reduced by up to 90%. Previously unmonitored areas are quickly detected and brought under monitoring, enabling faster incident response and resolution. In addition, security gaps can be closed before they’re exploited, as potential vulnerabilities are proactively identified through comprehensive monitoring.
Another key benefit: precise monitoring and automated management of hosts and services improve the efficiency of IT resource allocation.

It complements existing modes with functionalities such as:
- Topology discovery
- Basic monitoring

This is particularly useful for Tier-2 and Tier-3 applications, allowing organizations to rely on a robust monitoring framework while keeping infrastructure monitoring cost-effective.
The new features are currently available for Dynatrace SaaS, with concrete plans to extend availability to Dynatrace Managed environments in the near future.
